The Toyota App: An asset in winter

With Remote Connect—invaluable in the colder months—as well as features for locking your doors, setting a charging schedule and finding your car, the Toyota App makes life that much easier1.

During trips, use it to view your battery’s status, find charging stations and so much more. All just a few taps away!

Three ways to charge your bZ4X.

Level 1 = standard
Standard 120 V household outlet A great option for charging your EV’s battery at home, at your convenience, between short trips.2

Level 2 = fast
240 V home or public charging station The best option for charging up in a few hours at home. Simply plug in your vehicle at home at night and it’ll be fully charged by morning!2

Level 3 = fastest
Super-fast 480 V public charging station Often found by highways, these types of chargers allow you to charge up quickly during longer trips.2

With over 9,600 public charging stations throughout Quebec and over 27,000 throughout Canada, you can get to where you need to go worry-free. The cost for charging your EV at a Level 2 station (240 V) varies by station3:

  • Per hour: $0 to $3
  • Flat rate: $0 to $10, regardless of the charging time

Perfect for charging your bZ4X while you’re out and about!

Electric equals savings. Do the math!

A driver who logs 20,000 km per year in a bZ4X can save about $2,900 in energy and maintenance costs annually, compared to a gas-powered vehicle from the same category.4

The comfort of radiant heating.

The bZ4X uses infrared heating to keep the front cabin warm and toasty around the legs and feet. This method is faster and more energy-efficient than conventional systems and offers a pleasant driving experience at any time of year—but especially when it’s chilly.

2In ideal conditions (outside air temperature of 25 ℃), you can go from 10% (Low Battery Light) to 100% (fully charged): in about 9.5 hours when using a 240 V AC outlet (Level 2 charge) in about 50 hours when using a 120 V AC outlet (Level 1 charge)

In addition, you can go from 10% (Low Battery Light) to 80%: in about 30 minutes for FWD models and about 35 minutes for AWD models when using a 480 V DC fast charger (Level 3 charger), although a number of variables will result in significantly longer charging times.

Charge times are estimates only and can vary significantly based on many factors, including external air temperature (colder temperatures or extreme heat), charger type and condition, accessory use, and battery level and condition. Public charging experience will vary based on the charger type and specifications and other factors.

3The charging rate at Level 2 charging stations (or standard 7 kW stations) is determined by the station owners, based on predefined criteria. It may therefore vary from one station to another. The rate is clearly indicated on the station’s screen, on the online interactive map and on the Electric Circuit app. Rate includes taxes. For more information: https://lecircuitelectrique.com/en/cost/

4Estimate based on a gas price of $1.75/litre and the residential rate for electricity (tax included).
